Project: Project Crystal
Client: Noske-Kaeser GmbH
Project Crystal at Lürssen yard in Bremen involved Balance in executing the comprehensive mechanical commissioning on the ship (M/Y KATARA). This encompassed all yacht ventilation systems, including fans, humidifiers, smoke dampers, alongside meticulous recording and documentation of pressure and flow parameters.
Our work emphasized proportional balancing, paying particular attention to noise reduction and draft control. We meticulously managed the relative pressure variations across different areas/zones and seamlessly integrated these operations with the MBUS system. Additionally, we handled the commissioning of fire dampers and ensured their integration with the vessel's systems.
Our comprehensive documentation package for each system, coupled with the handover of these systems to both Lürssen yard and the owner's representative, was part of our service.
During the process, challenges arose in meeting sound requirements. We swiftly identified the issues, devised sound attenuation solutions, had them engineered in Denmark, and flawlessly installed them on board. Subsequent measurements confirmed that the sound tolerances were satisfactorily met.
This assignment was successfully accomplished to the utmost satisfaction of all involved parties, well within the specified timeframe.
